What is the secret sauce to a happy, healthy marriage? That’s one of the questions we’ll answer on this episode of Family Time Q&A Podcast. Olivia and I bring on long time friends, and Honorary Dugans, Glen and Shawn Solberg who serve on the staff of FamilyLife Ministries.
In celebration of National Healthy Marriage Week, we’re obviously talking about healthy marriages and what it takes to have them.
Who Are the Solbergs?
At the time this episode was recorded, the Glen and Shawn have been married for 23 years and have three children. Glen met his wife, Shawn, while they worked at the same hospital in Houston, Texas. He was a physical therapist and she was a nurse.
After attending a Weekend to Remember marriage conference hosted by FamilyLife Ministries, Glen had it on his heart to help hurting couples strengthen their marriages through the resources of FamilyLife. Their one year commitment to be on staff has lasted over a decade!
That’s how we met the Solbergs, through our friends while attending a Weekend to Remember in Corpus Christi back in 2007. We’re so blessed to know them and are glad they took the time to share their story and insights with us on the show.
